happy birfday america!

We went to the roof of our parking garage to watch the fireworks. Unfortunately, from this vantage point, they were going off directly behind the frost tower. Lesson learned

six years

So Emily and i have been together for six years now as of Sunday! Pretty amazing.
We spent the night at The Driskill where Emily works. This is like the oldest Hotel in Texas or something and is supposedly haunted. (I guess someone hung themselves in our room back in the day). We did a "through the guests eyes" stay. Basically this means that we got to stay in one of the best suites, order room service, and have dinner at the restaurant there all for free. She "had" to do it for work to evaluate the service and I got to go along for the ride. Awesome.
We had a balcony overlooking Sixth street
A big ol' bed with fancy curtain thingies
a massive bathroom with a huge bathtub built for two
One of those naughty-part-washer things that the Europeans use. fancy

new happenings via phone camera

So if anyone ever looks at this they will notice that it hasn't been updated in months and months. that is because our camera fell victim to a drink spill in emily's purse. Apparently plastic cups of redbull and vodka don't fair well in the jingly-jangly confines of an over the shoulder pouch. But... I just learned I can send pictures from my phone to my computer, so we are back in business!
so what is new...

so I am now living in Austin Texas and it is radical. This is the view from an 18th floor happy hour spot. I live right around the corner.

I have been growing my hair on my face these days
I may be surrounded by Texas but I am still a Masshole.
Emily got a puppy and her name is Dylan. She is great when she is not being a ... you know, female dog.

This is a game called "bite the bag" in which you stand on one foot and put your hands behind your back and try to bite the bag. The bag gets rolled down after every round until everyone is face planting into the carpet. best played
while drinkingI have seen some pretty awesome art. This is Porous Walker from the show at Okay Mountain. He had a whole wall of drawings involving wieners. It was funny
Michael Sieben lives here in austin too. You know, that dude who writes for thrasher and does those awesome drawings. He is a super nice dude and is kind enough to invite me on skating sessions where I do a lot of watching. This is from his show at Domy Books.
Rich Jacobs was in that show too. This was the wall mural he did. Another super nice guy.
I have even had some shows myself. This one was at the American Art Authority. I have a solo show coming up at Birdhouse Gallery in July too.

I am in a competitive skee ball league down here which is as awesome as it sounds. We drink Highlife and play a child's game for high fives and glory. These are the Skee-E O's that started the whole thing in New York. They flew down for the inaugural skeeson here in Austin This is our logo. We are the Whiskee Shooters.

Well that is all for now but more to come! Thanks for the technical info mr. cutlip
